A.
Captains shall exercise full command and control of units under their
jurisdiction. They shall be responsible for all administrative matters
affecting such uniformed and assigned members, also care and maintenance
of quarters, apparatus, equipment and all department property.
B.
They shall be responsible for the proper maintenance, operation and
records of such unit. They shall, when members are not specifically
assigned, designate qualified members of the Department to the care
and operation of such apparatus and equipment.
C.
They shall be charged with maintaining proper discipline of members;
also efficiency and operation of units under their command.
D.
They shall, when detailed to companies, assume the duties and responsibilities
of company commanders. However, changes involving company policy or
administrative routine shall not be made, unless approved by the Fire
Chief.
E.
They shall require and obtain full cooperation of Lieutenants assigned
or detailed to their units, in the maintenance of effective administration,
discipline and efficiency.
F.
They shall be responsible for the training and drills of their unit
personnel as required.
G.
They shall respond to fires and other emergencies as required and
supervise and work with other Fire Department personnel during such
fire or emergency until relieved.
H.
All officers shall see that they are familiar with the SOPs and policies.

I.
All officers will see that all additional duties assigned on a day-to-day
basis by the Fire Chief are carried out with cooperation and dispatch.
A.
Lieutenants shall, during their tours of duty, be responsible for
proper discipline of members and efficient operation of units under
their jurisdiction, in accordance with regulations. They shall comply
with and enforce specific instructions and orders of company commanders.
B.
They shall prepare and sign fire reports, report on meritorious acts,
charges, deaths, injuries involving members or civilians, accidents
or damage to apparatus and other incidents of an unusual nature occurring
or developing during their tours of duty.
C.
Lieutenants shall cooperate with company commanders in effecting
the administration report preparation, recordkeeping, discipline and
efficiency of units.
D.
Lieutenants shall be responsible for the training and drills of their
unit personnel as required.
E.
Lieutenants shall respond to fire and other emergencies as required
and supervise and work with other Fire Department personnel during
such fire or emergency until relieved.
A.
Firemen shall read and become familiar with all rules, SOPs, policies,
regulations and instructions published for their guidance and conduct.
B.
They shall extinguish fires and take proper precautions to prevent
the rekindling thereof.
C.
They shall respond with their unit to all alarms and emergency calls
and perform duties required.
D.
They shall keep apparatus, equipment and tools in a clean and serviceable
condition.
E.
They shall keep their person clean and uniforms and turn out gear
in a clean and serviceable condition.
F.
They shall keep the station grounds and premises neat, clean and
in good order and perform maintenance work as necessary.
G.
They shall perform related work as their superior officers may require.
H.
They shall perform fire prevention, fire protection, training and
drill activities as required.
I.
They shall keep all tools and equipment on their respective apparatus
and in their respective stations in good working condition and repair
and within their ability to do so.
J.
They shall take proper care of all tools and equipment and shall
not abuse or damage same and shall take precaution to guard against
the misplacing or losing of all tools and equipment.
K.
They shall inform superior officers of unserviceability or loss of
tools or equipment.
