The officer in charge of training shall be responsible for administration
and efficiency of all induction training of new firefighters and such
other activities and functions as may be specified by the Fire Chief.

In-service training; drills and instruction periods.
(1)Â
Properly conducted in-service company drills and instructional periods,
both in quarters and outdoors, are vital factors in maintaining operations
of the entire Department at a high standard of efficiency.
(2)Â
Knowledge, understanding and constant review of the fundamentals
of all phases of firefighting and prevention activities are essential
in order to achieve and maintain this high standard.
B.Â
Drills and instruction periods shall be conducted by Assistant Chiefs
for a period of time as determined by the Fire Chief.

Officers shall require full cooperation and active participation
by all members in order to achieve the purpose of drill and instruction
periods.
D.Â
All drills and training shall be conducted with the safety of fire
personnel and the public of prime consideration.

The officer in charge of training shall be responsible for curriculum,
scheduling and implementation of training activities and shall coordinate
same with other activities. All training must be uniform from company
to company, so as to promote smooth operations.
