Company officers will see that every emergency vehicle is checked every day. Each Monday, the weekly check shall be performed. Officers will review and sign all daily and weekly check sheets. Any discrepancies will be corrected if possible. If unable to correct, all serious discrepancies will immediately be reported to the Fire Chief. The Tuesday vehicle check will include a vehicle inventory check. Discrepancies will be noted on the vehicle check sheet.
Company officers will see that all equipment which needs repair is either repaired immediately or directed to the proper officer for repair.
Company officers will see that after training sessions, maintenance, fire calls, etc., all fire apparatus and equipment used or worked on is ready to respond to fire or emergency calls.
As per the safety rules, drivers will be allowed to wear uniform coats, liners, sweatshirts, etc., to and from calls, provided that they don their bunker equipment when they leave the cab of the vehicle.
No one shall use, operate or demonstrate any vehicle and/or equipment without specific authorization from the officer in charge (on duty). It will be the responsibility of the officer in charge to be certain that all vehicles and/or equipment are returned to proper order and ready for service after each use or demonstration.[1]

Company officers will see that at least one emergency medical technician is riding the ambulance.
