The term "abandoned vehicle" and the procedure for identifying and giving notice to persons who own or have a lien or other interest in an abandoned vehicle shall be as set forth in New York Vehicle and Traffic Law § 1224 and the regulations promulgated thereunder.
Pursuant to the authority granted by New York Vehicle and Traffic Law § 1224, Subdivision 6, the City of Plattsburgh may convert for use by its Police Department and transfer title to not more than two abandoned vehicles in a calendar year that are not affected by New York Vehicle and Traffic Law § 1224, Subdivision 2.
