A.Â
No person shall operate, cause or knowingly permit or move any motor
vehicle on any road in the Village of Old Westbury in violation of
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Parts 393 through 397, inclusive.
B.Â
Penalties for offenses. A violation of this section shall be punishable
by a fine not less than $200 nor more than $500. In the event the
violation of this section is one which requires, pursuant to applicable
regulations, that the motor vehicle be taken out of service, then
the fine shall be not less than $500 nor more than $1,500.
C.Â
The court may impose any sentence authorized by this section; provided,
however, that any such sentence must include a fine as provided in
this section.
D.Â
All fines collected as a result of the above subsections shall remain
the property of the Village of Old Westbury.
