The term "emergency employee" means any administrative, public works and parks and recreation employee who performs health- and-safety-related work, which may be of an emergency nature.
A listing of the residency requirements are identified in the Personnel Handbook or in collective bargaining agreements.

Certain employees affected by this chapter are the Village Administrator, Police Department, Fire Department, Public Works Department, and Parks and Recreation Department personnel. A listing of the employees affected is in the Personnel Handbook or in collective bargaining agreements.
The Village Board may waive the residency requirement for employees upon a finding that such waiver would serve the best interests of the Village. When waiving the residency requirement, the Village Board shall base its determination upon:
A. 
The nature of the work;
B. 
The location of the work; and
C. 
All other pertinent facts concerning employment.
