No person shall place or deposit in or near the Village-sponsored
recycling containers any items except approved paper products, approved
plastic products, approved glass products and approved metal items.
The Village shall cause a listing of items which may be deposited
in the recycling containers to be prominently posted at the recycling
site where the recycling containers are located.
The following items, which are not suitable for placement in
the recycling containers and cause excess expense to the Village for
disposition of these items which the recycling contractor will not
handle, are specifically prohibited from being placed in the Village-sponsored
recycling receptacles or recycling drop-off area:

Fertilizers

Garbage
|

Paints

Pesticides

Petroleum products

Any person who deposits a prohibited item in the Village recycling
program receptacle or places such prohibited item in the recycling
receptacle area is guilty of a violation of this article and shall
be fined an amount not less than $100 and not more than $750 for each
violation.
