[HISTORY: Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Monticello as Sec. 2-1-5 of the 1989 Code of Ordinances; amended in its entirety at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. II). Subsequent amendments noted where applicable.]
Upon passage of an ordinance annexing territory to the Village, the Clerk shall record the ordinance with the register of deeds. The Clerk shall certify annually to the Secretary of State and record with the Register of Deeds a legal description of the total boundaries of the Village as those boundaries existed on December 1, unless there has been no change in the 12 months preceding.
A. 
There shall be adopted an Official Map of the Village, which shall be and remain on file in the office of Village Clerk, and which is made a part hereof by reference. The Official Map shall show the location and extent of all platted and existing streets, highways, and alleys within the corporate limits of the Village of Monticello as hereinbefore laid out, adopted and established by law.
B. 
Pursuant to § 62.23(6)(d), Wis. Stats., the streets, highways or parkway systems shown on the Official Map may be shown as extending beyond the boundaries of the Village in extraterritorial areas.
A. 
The Village Board may change or add to the Official Map to establish the exterior lines of, widen, extend or close any platted, existing, proposed or planned streets, highways, parkways, parks or playgrounds.
B. 
The Village Board shall refer any change or addition to the Official Map to the Plan Commission for review, and the Plan Commission shall report its recommendation to the Village Board within 60 days of such reference.
C. 
A public hearing of the parties in interest and citizens before the Village Board shall be required before any changes or additions to the Official Map are effective. Notice of the public hearing shall be published as a Class 2 notice under Ch. 985, Wis. Stats.
D. 
Changes and additions made by duly approved subdivision plats shall not require public hearing if the changes or additions do not affect any land outside the area being platted.
E. 
The Village Clerk shall file with the Register of Deeds of Green County a certificate showing any changes or additions to the Official Map.
