[Adopted as Ch. 3, § 3.05, of the 1990 Code]
The office of Chief of Police is hereby created. The Chief of
Police shall be appointed by the Village President with the consent
of the Village Board. The Chief of Police shall be in charge of the
Police Department which shall have such members as shall be designated
by the Village Board. The Chief of Police and the Police Department
shall be operated under such regulations as may be established by
the Village Board. Alternatively, the Village may contract for police
services.
