For the purpose of this chapter, the words and phrases of 720
ILCS 5/2-1 through 5/2-11; 5/2-13 through 5/2-16; 5/2-19 and 5/2-20,
as approved, adopted and amended, are hereby adopted by the Village,
as fully as if set out herein. (65 ILCS 5/1-3-2)
The Illinois Criminal Code, Illinois Compiled Statutes Chapter
720, as passed, approved and amended by the Illinois General Assembly,
is hereby adopted by the Village; the provisions thereof shall be
controlling within the corporate limits of the Village; provided,
however, the penalties as provided by this Code shall apply. (65 ILCS
