The BOS Business, Office, Service District is established to
create and preserve areas for those commercial facilities which are
especially useful in close proximity to residential areas as a land
use buffer, while minimizing the undesirable impact of the uses on
the neighborhoods which they service.
A.Â
Office buildings for any of the following occupations: executive,
administrative, professional, accounting, writing, clerical, stenographic,
drafting and sales;
B.Â
Medical office and dental offices, including clinics and laboratories;
C.Â
Facilities for human care such as hospitals, convalescent and nursing
homes;
D.Â
Banks, credit unions, savings and loan associations, and similar
uses; drive-through facilities as an accessory use;
E.Â
Laundry and dry cleaning establishments;
F.Â
Public uses;
G.Â
Personal service establishments, including barber shops, beauty shops
and health salons;
H.Â
Off-street parking lots;
I.Â
Business schools;
J.Â
Essential services;
K.Â
Public parks and recreation areas;
L.Â
Foster family homes and family day-care homes;
M.Â
Funeral homes;
N.Â
Accessory structures and uses customarily incidental to the above
permitted uses, provided such buildings and uses are located on the
same zoning lot with a permitted use.

The following uses may be permitted by the Village Council as provided for in Article XVII:

Functional equivalent family (§ 155-17.39).

Reasonable accommodation use (§ 155-17.40).
D.Â
Group day-care and group foster care facilities (§ 155-17.14).

Churches and religious institutions (§ 155-17.10).
F.Â
Schools, institutional and public uses (§ 155-17.24).
H.Â
Anemometer tower over 20 meters high.
I.Â
Utility grid wind energy system.
J.Â
On-site use wind energy system over 20 meters high.
