Construction drawings and specifications shall be prepared by
a Missouri Registered Professional Engineer. Three (3) complete sets
with the Engineer's seal affixed shall be submitted for review by
the City. One (1) set stamped approved and signed by the City Engineer
shall be returned to the designer. On completion of the project, the
designer shall develop a set of as-built corrections to the original
drawings and submit one (1) corrected set to the City.

The drawings shall include as the first sheet a drainage area
map. This map shall show contour elevations to five-foot intervals
as a minimum. The basin tributary to each principal facility shall
be delineated and numbered. A table listing basin areas, time of concentration,
runoff co-efficient, return period or probability of event, and flow
shall be included. Receiving systems, if any, shall be identified
and flow capacities of key elements listed. Scale as required.

Plan drawings shall delineate all proposed and existing utilities,
streets, and appurtenances in the project area. Property lines, right
of way lines, easements, the one percent (1%) probability flood plain,
and the two percent (2%) probability flood plain shall be delineated.
Finish grading shall be shown in two-foot contour intervals for storm
water channels. Any test borings or surface rock features shall be
located. Plan drawings shall generally be scaled one (1) inch equals
twenty (20) feet.

Elevation drawings shall be provided for all enclosed systems
and channels. Existing and final surface grades shall be delineated.
Pipe lines shall have pipe size, material, and slope identified. Channels
shall have gradient delineated. Invert elevations and top elevations
for each structure shall be given. Test borings and rock features
shall be located. All crossings utilities shall be located and identified.
Elevation drawings shall generally be scaled one (1) inch equals five
(5) feet.

Detail sheets shall show all standard drawings and original
drawings for the project. Separate plan/profile/detail sheets shall
be included for culverts crossing streets.

A. Specifications for construction are required in a separate bound
copy. At a minimum, all materials used in construction shall be covered
including pipe, inlets, manholes, and other appurtenances. General
specifications for excavation and backfill, concrete, sodding and
seeding, and other pertinent areas are required. The City may require
that insurance certificates and maintenance bond be attached to the
specifications. The specifications shall provide specific directions
to the contractor(s) on the control of erosion during the construction
process. Provisions shall be included that will preclude accidental
release of contaminants such as fuels, oils, fertilizers, and the
like to the waters of the State.
B. Construction drawings and specifications for storm water facilities
may be included with, or made a part of, general plan and specifications
for a project.
