The New York State Code requires sprinkler systems in all three-story
residential dwellings.
The following procedure shall be followed:
A.
Fill out the fire sprinkler permit application and submit two copies
of the sprinkler installation plans stamped and sealed by a licensed
professional architect or engineer.
B.
The fire sprinkler permit application must be approved by the Chief
Building Inspector.
C.
To be certified, a post-installation affidavit is required by said
licensed professional.
