The Maplewood Memorial Park Conservancy may create a fund and
receive donations for the planting of trees at Memorial Park.
Two alternative funds may be maintained.
A.
A General Tree Fund will be established to support the planting and
maintenance of all trees in Memorial Park. The fund will allow donations
of any amount and will be acknowledged by a certificate and listing
on the Conservancy website. Levels of contribution shall be designated
as follows:

B.
Memorial Tree Program.
(1)
The Memorial Tree Program will be established to create an opportunity
for individuals or an entity to donate a specific tree. The scale
of donations will be established allowing the donor to choose a specific,
individual tree. Memorial Tree Program donations shall be as follows:

Donors will receive a certificate confirming donation and a map showing
the location of the donated tree. Individual trees will be marked
by tags attached to the tree that will identify the botanic and popular
name as well as the names of the donor and/or honoree.
C.
All funds received by the Conservancy for the Memorial Tree Program
shall be placed into a special account and not commingled with other
funds maintained by the Conservancy. Donations to the Memorial Tree
Program shall be disbursed consistent with the purchase and installation
of specific trees.
D.
At the request of the Chief Financial Officer for the Township of
Maplewood, the Conservancy shall provide a report to the Chief Financial
Officer concerning all funds received and disbursed by the Conservancy
incidental to the aforementioned tree programs.
E.
At least once per year, the Conservancy shall provide a report to
the Maplewood Township Committee advising it of all donations received
from the tree programs and the installation of trees incidental to
the tree programs.
