As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
CONSTRUCTION SITE
Any location on which a building of any type, residential, commercial industrial, etc., is being built, renovated, modified or otherwise changed, designed or redesigned.
LIQUID-FUELED PORTABLE OR TEMPORARY HEATER
Shall include but not be limited to torpedo furnaces, salamander furnaces, salamanders and any other flame-producing heater.
It shall be unlawful for any person, party, company or entity to use a liquid-fueled portable or temporary heater inside any building on construction sites within the Township of Maplewood.
Subject to approval of the Maplewood Fire Department, electric-powered or temporary heaters may be used inside any building on construction sites within the Township of Maplewood.
A. 
Any person, party, company or entity violating the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to the following fines:
(1) 
First offense: $1,000.
(2) 
Second offense: $1,500.
(3) 
Third or subsequent offense: $2,000.
B. 
Each separate liquid-fueled portable or temporary heater in use shall be considered a separate violation.
