A certain document one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Trenton, Missouri, being marked and designated as "International Residential Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings, 2015," including Appendices H, J, K, M, and U as published by the International Code Council, Inc., be and is hereby adopted as the International Residential Code of the City of Trenton, Missouri, for the control of buildings and structures as herein provided; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said International Residential Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Chapter, with the additions, insertions and changes, if any.

A. 
The code adopted in this Chapter hereby amends, by substitution, the following Sections in lieu of those Sections with corresponding numbers in the code, or, where there is no corresponding Section in the code, the following Sections shall be enacted as additions to the code:
1. 
R101.1 Title. These provisions shall be known as the Residential Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings of the City of Trenton, and shall be cited as such and will be referred to herein as "this code."
2. 
R102.5.1 Appendices H, J, K, M, and U are hereby adopted as published.
3. 
R103 is deleted in its entirety and replaced with a new Section R103 as follows:
R103 Enforcement agency. The Code Enforcement Official, or his/her designee, is responsible for enforcement of this code. The Code Enforcement Official is referred to as the "building official" in this code.
4. 
Section R104.7 Department records is amended to read:
R104.7 Department records. The City Clerk, as otherwise provided by ordinance, will keep official records of applications received, permits and certificates issued, fees collected, reports of inspections, and notices and orders issued. Such records shall be retained in the official records for the period required for retention of public records.
5. 
R104.10.1 Flood hazard areas. Delete in its entirety.

Section R105.2 Building: #1 is amended to read:
R105.2 Building #1. One-story detached accessory structures, provided that the floor area does not exceed one hundred twenty (120) square feet.

Section R105.5 Building #10 is deleted.
8. 
R112.1 General. Any aggrieved person shall have the right to appeal a decision of the Code Enforcement Official to the Board of Adjustment. Applications for appeal shall be filed in accordance with Trenton City Code Chapter 400.

Table R301.2(1) is amended to read as follows: Ground Snow Load is twenty (20) pounds per square foot; Wind Speed is ninety (90) mph; Seismic Design Category is 0-A; Weather is Severe; Frost Line Depth is thirty-six (36) inches; Termite is moderate to heavy, Winter Design Temperature zero degree Fahrenheit (0° F.); and Flood Hazards A—C.

R302.5.1 is amended to delete the words "equipped with a self-closing device."

Figure R403.1(1) Concrete and masonry foundation details. A slab on ground with turned down footings shall have the following: a #4 reinforcement bar spaced a minimum of twenty-four (24) inches on centers to provide connection of footing to slab. The vertical rods shall extend to within four (4) inches of the bottom of the footing and be turned to provide a horizontal leg that extends a minimum of twelve (12) inches into the slab.

M1411.8 Locking access port caps. Delete.

P2603.5.1 Sewer depth. Building sewers, including the portion of the building drain beyond the exterior wall, shall be a minimum of thirty-six (36) inches below finished grade at the point of septic tank connection. Building sewers shall be a minimum of thirty-six (36) inches below grade. The building official may approve a lesser depth of the building drain portion if there are extraordinary circumstances (e.g., bedrock).

A. 
The punishment of a violation of this Chapter shall be as set forth in Trenton City Code Section 100.220. Every day any violation of the code adopted in this Chapter or any other ordinance or any such rule, regulation, notice or order shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
B. 
Whenever any act is prohibited by the code adopted in this Chapter, by an amendment thereof, or by any rule or regulation adopted thereunder, such prohibition shall extend to and include the causing, securing, aiding or abetting of any other person to do said act. Whenever any act is prohibited by the code adopted in this Chapter, an attempt to do the act is likewise prohibited.
