The Township is hereby authorized to enter into an intergovernmental cooperation agreement with Butler City to share public works personnel and equipment in a form similar to the agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A" and otherwise in form acceptable to the President of the Township Board of Commissioners and the Township Solicitor (the "agreement").[1] Pursuant to the requirements of the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act, 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 2301 et seq., as amended, the terms of the agreement and this article set forth: the conditions of the agreement for cooperation among Butler Township and Butler City for sharing public works personnel and equipment; the duration of the term of the agreement; the purposes and objectives of the agreement, including the powers and scope of the authority delegated in the agreement; the manner and extent of financing the agreement; the organizational structure necessary to implement the agreement; and the manner in which real or personal property shall be acquired, managed and disposed of. Because of the nature of this agreement, § 2307(7) of the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act does not apply.

The President of the Board of Commissioners is hereby authorized to execute the agreement and to take any and all actions necessary to effectuate the same.
