The governing body of the Township of Hamilton hereby establishes
a speed limit of 25 miles per hour throughout the entire length of
Cates Road within the Township of Hamilton, by means of speed limit
signs and appropriate striping in accordance with the latest edition
of the Manual on Uniform Safety Control Devices.
Warnings and regulatory signs shall be installed and maintained
establishing the designated speed limit in accordance with the latest
edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
This article shall be effective upon the installation and erections
of signs as is required by law and/or the latest edition of the Manual
on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
Any violation of this article shall be punishable by all applicable
New Jersey State statutes, including, without limitation, N.J.S.A.
39:1-1 et seq.
If any part or parts of this article are for any reason held
to be invalid, such decision will not affect the validity of the remaining
portions of this article.
All former traffic ordinances of the Township of Hamilton in conflict with or inconsistent with the provisions of this article, including but not limited to Hamilton Township Code § 301-26H, are hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or punishment of any person for an act done or committed in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed prior to the effective date of this article.
