A. 
In accordance with the provisions of MGL c. 90, § 18, of the General Laws, as amended, the following special speed regulations have hereby been adopted by the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Lunenburg and have been approved by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the Registrar of Motor Vehicles. The following speed limits are established at which motor vehicles may be operated in the areas described:

Beginning at the Leominster line, thence northerly 0.73 miles at 35 miles per hour, thence 0.70 miles at 40 miles per hour, thence 0.07 miles at 25 miles per hour, ending at the intersection of Route 2A;
Route 13 (Chase Road)
Northbound
Beginning again at a point 300 feet north of Route 2A, thence northerly 2.67 miles at 45 miles per hour, ending at the Townsend line; the total distance being 4.17 miles.
Route 13 (Chase Road)
Southbound
Beginning at the Townsend line, thence southerly 2.60 miles at 45 miles per hour, thence 0.13 miles at 25 miles per hour, ending at the intersection of Route 2A;
Route 13 (Electric Avenue)
Southbound
Beginning again at a point 250 feet south of Route 2A, thence southerly 0.72 miles at 40 miles per hour, thence 0.73 miles at 35 miles per hour, ending at the Leominster line; the total distance being 4.18 miles.
Summer Street
Westbound
Beginning at the Leominster line, thence westerly 0.82 miles at 35 miles per hour, ending the Fitchburg line; the total distance being 0.82 miles.
Summer Street
Eastbound
Beginning at the Fitchburg line, thence easterly 0.82 miles at 35 miles per hour, ending the Leominster line; the total distance being 0.82 miles.
B. 
Any person convicted of a violation of a special speed regulation made under the authority of MGL c. 90, § 18, shall be punished as provided by MGL c. 90, § 20.
