A.
The Board of Fire Commissioners shall consist of five persons, three
of whom shall constitute a quorum. The Village President shall annually,
between the last Monday of April and the first Monday of May, appoint,
in writing, to be filed with the Secretary of the Board, one member
for a term of five years, subject to confirmation by the Village Board.
Residency in the Village of Greenville shall be a requirement for
appointment to the Board and for continued membership on the Board.
B.
The Board shall keep a record of its proceedings. The Board of Fire
Commissioners shall have the power and authority prescribed under
§ 62.13(2) to (5) and (7) to (12), Wis. Stats. Specifically
excluded are the provisions of § 62.13(6), Wis. Stats.,
titled "Optional powers of board."
C.
The Board of Fire Commissioners shall adopt all current Fire Department
policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
D.
Compensation for members of the Board of Fire Commissioners shall
be set annually by the Village Board, to be effective with the term
of members of the Board of Fire Commissioners and once set shall remain
in such amount until amended or changed by the Village Board.
