A.
It shall be the duty and responsibility of every person owing any
property within the Township to keep all trees, branches, shrubs,
or other woody vegetation on that property trimmed in such a manner
that there is a clearance of at least 14 feet above any street or
alley and a clearance of at least seven feet over any sidewalk in
the Township.
B.
The owner of any corner lot or premises in the Township shall keep
trees, branches, shrubs, or other woody vegetation at the corners
of intersecting streets so trimmed that the height of the same shall
not exceed three feet above the curb level.
In the absence of the appropriate maintenance by the property owner, the Township shall have the right to prune, maintain, or remove trees, branches, shrubs, or other woody vegetation as may be necessary to protect public safety. If the Township takes this action, it will be permitted to lien the property for the cost of the work along with subjecting the violator to the penalties outlined in § 110-25.
Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of
this article shall, upon conviction, pay a fine not exceeding $300
and costs of prosecution. Each and every day in which any person,
firm or corporation shall be in violation of this article after a
conviction shall constitute a separate offense.
