All words and phrases used in this chapter shall be construed and have the same meanings as those words and phrases defined in PA 1995, Act 58, Marine Safety (MCLA § 324.80101 et seq.).
A. 
R 281.711.6. Madron Lake: High-speed boating prohibited.
(1) 
Rule 6. On waters of Madron Lake, it is unlawful to:
(a) 
Operate a vessel at high speed.
(b) 
Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.
B. 
R 281.711.7. St. Joseph River: Slow/no-wake speed.

(1) 
Rule 7. On the waters of the St. Joseph River from the I and M dam downstream to the southernmost tip of Bachelor Island and thence downstream on the east side of Bachelor Island to its northernmost tip, Sections 23, 25 and 26, T7S, R18W, Township of Buchanan, Berrien County, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow/no-wake speed.
C. 
WC-11-91-001. Madron Lake: Prohibition of motors. It is unlawful to operate a vessel powered by a motor on Madron Lake, Sections 8 and 9, Township of Buchanan, Berrien County, except an electric motor.

All other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Violations of this chapter are a misdemeanor and may be punished by a fine not to exceed $500, together with costs of prosecution or imprisonment, in the county jail or such other place of detention as the court may prescribe, for a period not to exceed 90 days, or both said fine, costs of prosecution and imprisonment, at the discretion of the court.
