A.Â
PERSON
STREET
WALK
The following words, for the purpose of this chapter, shall have
the meanings hereby respectively ascribed thereto, except where the
context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Any natural person, partnership, association, firm or corporation.
Any public way intended for vehicular traffic, whether designated
as a street, avenue, road, boulevard, drive or alley.
Any sidewalk alongside or forming part of any street, as
herein defined; any walkway provided for pedestrian use in any public
grounds; and any public walkway along any bridge, through any public
tunnel or up or down any public steps.
B.Â
In this chapter, the singular shall include the plural, the plural
shall include the singular, and the masculine shall include the feminine
and the neuter.
It shall be unlawful for any person to distribute or cause to
be distributed any advertising matter or advertising device by casting,
throwing or placing the same upon any street or walk in the Township
of Stowe or in or upon any public or private ground in the said Township.
Nothing in this chapter shall apply to, touch or concern matter
sent through the United States Postal Service, or to the sale and
delivery of newspapers, or to periodicals purchased or ordered by
the occupant of any property.

A.Â
Any person
who violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction
thereof, be sentenced and or ordered to pay a fine of not less than
$100 and not more than $600, along with any costs of prosecution,
or, in default of such fine and costs, to be sentenced to imprisonment
for not more than 30 days.
B.Â
Any person
who violates any provision of this chapter for a second time within
365 days of having been sentenced or convicted from a prior violation
of this chapter shall pay a fine not less than $250 and not more than
$1,000, along with any costs of prosecution, or, in default of such
fine and costs, to be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than
30 days.
C.Â
Any person
who violates any provision of this chapter for a third, or subsequent
time, within 365 days of having been sentenced or convicted from a
prior violation of this chapter shall pay a fine not less than $500
and not more than $2,000, along with any costs of prosecution, or,
in default of such fine and costs, to be sentenced to imprisonment
for not more than 30 days.
