For the purposes of this chapter, the following meanings are
adopted:
Any structure, including mobile homes, used as a dwelling
for one or more persons.
Any firm, person, partnership, association, corporation,
company or organization of any kind.

All persons owning homes must display house numbers on mailboxes
and/or on obvious prominent areas of the home. All owners of homes
that utilize the rear entrance as a primary entrance must also display
house numbers in a visible and obvious area at the rear entrance in
addition to displaying the house number on a mailbox and/or obvious
area of the prominent, or front, entrance of the home.
It shall be the duty of the Police Department to enforce the
provisions of this chapter.

Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with any of the
provisions of this chapter within 60 days after written notice by
the Township or its police of noncompliance shall, upon conviction
thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding $600, and costs,
and, in default of payment thereof, shall be subject to imprisonment
for a term not to exceed 30 days. Each week that a violation of this
chapter continues shall constitute a separate offense.
This entire chapter shall be deemed and construed to be the
exercise of the police power of the Township of Stowe, Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, for the preservation and protection of the public
safety, and all of its provisions shall be construed with the view
of effectuating said purpose.
