The Comprehensive Plan Committee will oversee the implementation of the 2015-2025 Kittery Comprehensive Plan.
The Committee may:
A. 
Review and assess the priorities, goals and action steps of the Comprehensive Plan, and the Town's progress in achieving the goals and implementing the action steps.
B. 
Specify revisions to the priorities, goals and objectives and recommend options to address challenges in implementation.
C. 
Identify specific issues in the Comprehensive Plan that require further exploration, and recommend to the Town Council strategies to address those issues.
D. 
Provide a written report to the Town Council each January summarizing the Comprehensive Plan progress, identifying challenges, and recommending strategies to achieve goals.
The Committee consists of the 10 voting members and three nonvoting members. Voting members are the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Town Council, one representative from each of the following boards: Board of Appeals, Economic Development Committee, Planning Board, Port Authority, and School Committee, and three citizen members. Citizen members are appointed for three-year terms. Nonvoting members are the Town Manager, Superintendent of Schools, and Director of Planning and Development.
