Pursuant to authority conferred upon the Borough Council by Section 1104 of the Borough Code,[1] it is hereby established that the offices of Secretary and of Treasurer of the Borough of New Stanton shall be held by the same person.

The person holding the offices of Secretary and Treasurer shall be known as the "Secretary-Treasurer of the Borough of New Stanton" and shall use such designation in executing his or her duties for the Borough.

The person appointed as Secretary-Treasurer of the Borough of New Stanton shall be appointed by resolution adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of New Stanton.

The Secretary-Treasurer of the Borough of New Stanton shall, before assuming the duties of his or her office, give bond in an amount to be determined by and the premium paid by the Borough Council for the faithful performance of his or her duties. Said bond shall be with a surety authorized by law to act as such in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The compensation and other terms of employment for the Secretary-Treasurer shall be determined from time to time by resolution of the Borough Council of the Borough of New Stanton.
