The following fees have been established for services by the
Tax Collector's office:
a.
Duplicate Tax Bill. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 54:4-64, the Tax Collector
is authorized to charge a fee for the issuance of a duplicate tax
bill to a mortgage company or servicing agent.
Upon delivering the original tax bill to the mortgage company
or servicing agent, additional tax bill requests for the same property
within the same tax year are subject to a fee as follows:

Duplicate Tax Sale Certificate. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 54:5-52, the
Tax Collector is authorized to charge a fee of one hundred ($100)
dollars per duplicate certificate, as allowable by law.
This fee shall be collected upon the receipt of a written request
for a duplicate certificate from the legal lienholder or their representatives
and must be approved by the Mayor and Council, by resolution, before
a duplicate certificate can be created.
c.
Certificate for Redemption of Tax Sale. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 54:5,
the Tax Collector is authorized to prepare and execute a Certificate
for Redemption of Tax Sale as allowable by law.
A fee of twenty-five ($25) dollars shall be collected upon the
receipt of a written request from the property owner or their authorized
agent for administrative costs in preparing such document.
d.
Rate of Interest on Delinquent Taxes. The interest on delinquent
taxes shall be zero (0%) percent for the first ten (10) days after
the due dates and eight (8%) percent per annum on the first one thousand
five hundred ($1,500) dollars of the delinquency and eighteen (18%)
percent per annum on any amount in excess of one thousand five hundred
($1,500) dollars.
A penalty of six (6%) percent shall be imposed on delinquencies
exceeding ten thousand ($10,000) dollars at the end of the fiscal
year.
The Tax Collector is authorized and directed to collect interest
on any such delinquent taxes at the above rates.
The Tax Collector is hereby authorized to hold a Tax Lien Sale
at any time allowed by law.
e.
Conveyance of Information Through Electronic Filing. The Tax Collector
is hereby authorized to charge and collect appropriate fees as stipulated
below for the conveyance of tax information through electronic filing.
1.
Establish an annual fee of three hundred ($300) dollars for the period
of January 1st through December 31st, payable no later than February
1st of each year, except for the original year requested.
2.
Upon receipt of the three hundred ($300) dollar annual fee, the conveyance
of electronic information shall be generated weekly, biweekly or monthly,
as determined by the requestor.
3.
Except for the use of an internet based program, the requestor shall
provide the medium used for the conveyance of information.
4.
An individual request for an electronic file shall be ten ($10) dollars
per line item.
f.
Tax Lien Redemption Totals. The Tax Collector is hereby authorized
to charge and collect a fee of fifty ($50) dollars as stipulated below
for providing tax lien redemption figures:
g.
Fees for the Mailing of Tax Sale Notices in Lieu of Advertising.
The Tax Collector is hereby authorized to send, by regular mail, two
(2) notices in lieu of any two (2) tax sale publications to the property
owner of record and to any person or entity entitled to notice pursuant
to N.J.S.A. 54:5-104.48 for a fee of twenty-five ($25) dollars per
notice. The total cost to be charged and collected shall not exceed
fifty ($50) dollars per property per tax sale.

a.
All requests for discovery in matters pending in the Lake Como Municipal
Court shall be submitted through the Municipal Prosecutor.
b.
The fees as established by law shall be payable by the requestor
to the Borough of Lake Como for the discovery provided.
c.
Where the discovery must be obtained from an entity other than the
Borough of Lake Como, e.g. another police department, the actual costs
paid to the other entity shall be paid by the requestor.

a.
General Provisions.
1.
Purpose. The purpose of this subsection is to establish policies
and procedures for the collection of fees associated with the performance
of marriage or civil union ceremonies by the Mayor.
b.
General Regulations.
1.
Collection of Fees. Persons seeking to be married or joined in civil
union by the Mayor of Lake Como shall remit the applicable fee delineated
below to be paid to the Borough of Lake Como:
(a)
Residents of Lake Como: $200
(b)
Nonresidents of Lake Como: $225
(c)
Active military: Fee waived
(d)
Active members of Fire Department and First Aid Squad: Fee waived
(e)
An administrative fee of $25 shall be included within the above
established fee.
(f)
The Mayor shall have the discretion to waive a fee for reasons
he determines are valid.
2.
Compensation and Reimbursement of Expenses Incurred Through the Performance
of Marriage and Civil Union Ceremonies.
(a)
Receipt of Fees. The fee shall be paid by check, payable to
the Borough of Lake Como. Fees collected shall be deposited into the
Borough's current fund.
(b)
Disbursement of Fees.
(1)
Fees for service may be disbursed to the Mayor through the appropriate
budget line item and with appropriate authorization.
(c)
Reimbursement of Expenses. Fees for reimbursement of appropriate
expenses may be disbursed to the Mayor in accordance with the Lake
Como Purchasing Policy's established procedure for reimbursement,
including vouchers with receipts documenting the expenses, duly authorized
and with expenditure from the appropriate line item.
(d)
Eligible persons. The Finance Officer shall reimburse only proper
and reasonable expenses incurred directly by and for the Mayor. Under
no circumstances shall the Borough reimburse expenses or expenditures
on behalf of or because of any spouse, child, guest or other person.
