[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township
of Barnegat 1-24-77 as Ord. No. 1977-3. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 200 of the Laws of 1971,
the Township Committee hereby provides for the appointment of a Municipal
Attorney, who is designated as "Municipal Attorney."
The term of office of the Municipal Attorney shall be one (1)
year.
The Municipal Attorney shall perform such duties as are assigned
from time to time by the Township Committee.
Compensation for the Municipal Attorney shall be provided from
year to year in the municipal budget, and his actual compensation
shall be fixed at an hourly rate and based upon actual time and expenses
agreed on prior to the rendering of the services.
