The current salaries of the township employees and officers
are on file and available in the office of the Township Clerk.

The annual salaries and hourly wages shall be paid in semimonthly
installments.

A. Work hours and holidays shall be as the Township Committee may from
time to time fix by resolution.
B. Holiday pay.

(1)Â Any employee receiving an annual salary who is required to work on
any designated holiday shall be granted compensatory leave equal to
the number of hours worked; however, if such compensatory leave cannot
be scheduled by the appropriate department head, the employee shall
be entitled to monetary compensation for the actual number of hours
worked to be computed at a rate equal to one and one-half (1Â 1/2)
times an hourly rate computed by dividing the employee's annual
salary by the annual number of work hours which would comprise that
employee's annual work year.
(2)Â Any employee receiving an hourly salary who is required to work on
any designated holiday shall be granted compensatory leave equal to
the number of hours worked; however, if such compensatory leave cannot
be scheduled by the appropriate department head, the employee shall
be entitled to monetary compensation for the actual number of hours
worked to be computed at a rate equal to one and one-half (1Â 1/2)
times the normal hourly rate paid to such employee for regular work
hours.
C. Where holiday hours are worked in accordance with Subsection
B(1) or
(2) immediately hereinabove set forth, resulting in the employee working more than forty (40) hours in the week when the holiday occurs, said hours exceeding forty (40) in number shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1Â 1/2) times the rate to be paid for the holiday hours if such hours had not exceeded forty (40).

D. All employees working more than forty (40) hours in any one (1) week
shall be compensated according to law.
E. In the event that a holiday occurs during the vacation leave of an
employee, such holiday shall not be counted as a vacation day. Should
a holiday occur while an employee is on sick leave, such holiday shall
not be charged against his sick leave.
F. Notwithstanding Subsection
D of this section, members of the Barnegat Township Police Department shall be compensated at a rate of time and a half for those hours worked in excess of their normally prescribed workweek.

D of this section, members of the Barnegat Township Public Works Department shall be compensated at a rate of time and a half for those hours worked in excess of their normally prescribed workweek.
