No person shall cut, tear, deface, disfigure, damage, destroy
or illegally copy any library materials. No person shall deface, disfigure,
damage or destroy any library equipment or furnishings, the library
building, or any other library property.

A person commits the offense of theft of library property when he
or she does any of the following acts:

Library managers, library staff responsible for the circulation
of library materials, and/or library security officers may question
any person(s):
The Library shall display the library Circulation Policy in
a conspicuous place in the library building.
The Library Director and/or the Library Manager(s) who oversee(s)
circulation are authorized to file a complaint in the Municipal Court
under the following conditions:

Any person who violates or refuses to comply with the provisions
of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a minimum
fine of one hundred ($100.00) dollars or twice the cost of the unreturned
and/or damaged material(s) and/or property and/or unpaid fines and/or
fees, whichever is greater, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 2C:43-3.

For the second and each succeeding offense in which a violation occurs
or continues upon conviction thereof, the individual will be subject
to a minimum fine of two hundred ($200.00) dollars or twice the cost
of the unreturned and/or damaged material(s) and/or property and/or
unpaid fines and/or fees, whichever is greater, in accordance with
N.J.S.A. 2C:43-3.
