A. 
In order to provide a specific and safe means for pedestrians to cross Route 9 and access the City Middle and High Schools, the intersection of Reading Avenue and Route 9 (New Road) is hereby established as a school crossing.
B. 
This designation is in accordance with N.J.S.A. Title 39 which does confer upon the City of Pleasantville the right to establish certain regulations in order to preserve and safeguard the public health, safety, morals and welfare.

A. 
In order to alleviate the congestion at the intersection of West Leeds Avenue and Linden Avenue, vehicle traffic is prohibited from accessing West Leeds Avenue from Linden Avenue, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on dates students are present at the Leeds Avenue Elementary School.
B. 
The Pleasantville Police Department shall restrict vehicles from accessing West Leeds Avenue pursuant to this chapter through an officer directing traffic or the placement of a removable barrier between West Leeds Avenue and Linden Avenue.
