STATUTORY AUTHORITY
Regulation of parks and playgrounds — See N.J.S.A. 40:61-1 et seq.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PUBLIC RECREATION AREAS
Municipal parks, municipal swimming pools, municipal playground areas and other municipal recreational facilities in the Township.

No person shall be allowed in any public recreation area between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., except when events or programs authorized by the Township Council are scheduled during those hours.
Dressing or undressing is prohibited any place in any public recreation area, except in any bathhouse provided for such purpose.
No person shall consume any alcoholic beverage, including beer, in any public recreation area of the Township unless such consumption is approved by the Council in connection with any event or program which has received approval by the Township.
No beverage or food shall be consumed in any public recreation area directly from glass containers, except by permission of the Department of Recreation.
No games of chance shall be conducted nor shall participation in any such games of chance be solicited in any public recreation area in the Township without the prior approval of the Council.

No archery, golf, horseback riding or operation of power-driven models shall be permitted in any public recreation area in the Township without the permission of the Department of Recreation. Except in the municipal pools, no person in any public recreation area shall swim, bathe or wade in any waters or waterways.

A. 
No person in any public recreation area shall throw, discharge or otherwise place or cause to be placed in the waters of any pond, lake, stream or other body of water in or adjacent to any public recreation area, or any tributary, stream, storm sewer or drain flowing into such waters, any substance, matter or thing, liquid or solid, which will result in the pollution of such waters.
B. 
No person in any public recreation area shall dump, deposit or leave any material or debris, whether organic or inorganic. No refuse or trash shall be placed in any waters contiguous to any public recreation area, or left anywhere, but may be placed in the proper receptacles provided therefor. If receptacles are not so provided, all such rubbish or waste shall be carried away from the public recreation area by the person responsible for its presence and disposed of legally elsewhere.
The Council shall have the authority to enact by resolution such reasonable rules and regulations and shall have the authority to adopt reasonable fees, all in connection with the use and operation of any public recreation area in the Township.

Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $2,000 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both.
