A Municipal Court for the City of Sea Isle City is hereby created pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2A:8-1. The name of the Municipal Court shall be the "Municipal Court of the City of Sea Isle City." The Municipal Court shall have a seal which shall bear the impress of the name of the Court.

There shall be a Judge of the Municipal Court, who shall be appointed by the Mayor and with the advice and consent of Council, and who shall serve for a term of three years from the date of his/her appointment and until his/her successor is appointed and qualified.

The salary of the Judge of the Municipal Court shall be reconsidered each year and shall be fixed and set forth in the Salary Ordinance and shall be paid in the same manner as the salaries of other municipal officers are paid; and it shall be in lieu of all fees, costs or other allowances.

The Municipal Court and the Judge of the Municipal Court thereof shall have, possess and exercise all of the functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction conferred by the provisions N.J.S.A. 2A:8-20 or by any other law.

There shall be a Court Administrator who shall be appointed by the Mayor and who shall serve for a term of three years from the date of his/her appointment and until his/her successor is appointed and qualified.

The Municipal Court, the Offices of the Court Administrator and the Violations Bureau, governed and operating under and by virtue of the Rules Governing the Courts of the State of New Jersey and with particular reference to the New Jersey Court Rules of General Application thereunder as amended and to be amended, to wit, 1:30-1 through 1:32-3, shall be open for court business at such times and places as the Court may direct. The Court schedule for each year shall be posted in the office of the Court Administrator, City Clerk, Police Department and such other public places as the public interest may require.
