In accordance with Section 8-215 of the General Statutes, the
Board of Selectmen is hereby authorized to abate, in part or in whole,
real property taxes on any housing to be used solely for low- or moderate-income
persons or families, whether or not the Town receives reimbursement
from the state for said taxes. The First Selectman is hereby empowered
to execute contracts on behalf of the Town with owners of property
for the abatement of taxes pursuant to this section, and with the
state for the reimbursement of said abated taxes, after said contracts
have been approved by resolution of the Board of Selectmen.
