In addition to the requirements of Section 115.010 hereof, no person shall be eligible to the office of Municipal Judge who is not learned in the law and a licensed and practicing attorney in the State of Missouri at the time of his/her appointment.

The Municipal Judge shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of a majority of City Council. The Municipal Judge shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem and City Council.

The Municipal Judge shall receive such compensation as may be determined by the City Council. He/she will attend Municipal Court and perform services in connection therewith; and may upon request attend regular and special meetings of the City Council.
