Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:14-26 and N.J.S.A. 40A:14-156.1, the Mayor and Borough Clerk of the Borough of Mount Arlington are hereby authorized to execute and attest separate mutual aid agreements with the Township of Roxbury, Township of Jefferson, Borough of Netcong, Township of Mine Hill and the Township of Mount Olive for fire protection services in the event of an emergency, such agreements to be subject to the following terms and conditions to be included in the agreements executed among the borough and the respective municipalities:
A. 
Each part agrees that in the event of a fire emergency within the municipal jurisdiction of the other party, fire protection services and assistance will be provided upon request and to the extent reasonably possible without endangering persons or property within the municipality rendering such assistance.
B. 
All mutual fire aid rendered pursuant to the mutual aid agreement shall be provided without charge or expense to the municipality receiving such assistance. Each party to the mutual aid agreement acknowledges that in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:14-26 it shall be solely responsible for the provisions of any and all salary and other benefits for its firemen, whether paid or volunteer, rendering assistance within the other municipality to the same extent as if such firemen were performing their duties within the municipality providing the assistance.
C. 
Any mutual aid agreement shall have an initial term of one year and shall be automatically renewed for additional and successive one-year terms, unless and until one of the parties to the agreement elects to terminate the agreement by the adoption of an ordinance and delivery of a copy of the ordinance to the Clerk of the other municipality.
A mutual aid agreement authorized by this article shall be entered into by the Borough of Mount Arlington, in the County of Morris, State of New Jersey, with a municipality named in § 8-1 of this article only after such municipality has adopted an ordinance authorizing such agreement, which ordinance shall contain provisions similar to those set forth in § 8-1 of this article.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:14-156 et seq., N.J.S.A. 40:8A-1 et seq. and as otherwise provided by law, the Mayor and Municipal Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a mutual aid agreement with the County of Morris and the municipalities within the County of Morris for the provision of supplemental law enforcement assistance in the event of an emergency, disaster or widespread crisis, which agreement shall include but not be limited to the following terms and conditions:
A. 
Each party agrees that in the event of an emergency, disaster or widespread crisis within the municipal jurisdiction of any other party, the appropriate services and assistance will be provided upon request and to the extent reasonably possible without endangering persons or property within the municipality rendering such assistance.
B. 
All mutual aid rendered pursuant to the mutual aid agreement and the Morris County Regional Emergency Deployment System (MCREDS) Plan shall be provided without charge or expense to the municipality receiving such assistance. By executing the mutual aid agreement, each party acknowledges that it shall be solely responsible for the provision of any and all salary and other benefits for its personnel, whether paid or volunteer, rendering assistance within the other municipality to the same extent as if such personnel were performing their duties within the municipality providing the assistance.
C. 
The mutual aid agreement shall have an initial term of one year and shall be automatically renewed for additional and successive one-year terms, unless and until one of the parties thereto elects to terminate the agreement by providing prior written notice to the other parties to the agreement.
