[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Mount Arlington as Section 3-9 of the 1982 Compilation. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The use and enjoyment of that tract of land known as "Block 44, Lot 1," on the Official Tax Map of the Borough of Mount Arlington, known as "Memorial Park" and "Memorial Pond," and bounded on the east by North Glen Avenue, on the south by Mountain View Avenue, on the west by South Glen Avenue and on the north by Windemere Avenue, and consisting of approximately four acres of land and water is restricted for fishing purposes as follows:
A. 
The hours listed below are Eastern standard time or Eastern daylight time, at Trenton, whichever is in effect on the given date.
B. 
No person shall take or catch fish or attempt to take or catch fish from Memorial Pond at any time or in any manner other than as provided herein:
(1) 
No person of the age of 14 years or older shall take or catch fish or attempt to take fish in or around Memorial Pond.
(2) 
No person shall take or catch any fish or attempt to take or catch any fish on the days set for stocking.
(3) 
Whenever fishing is permitted, daily starting time shall be 5:00 a.m. and closing time shall be 9:00 p.m., except that on Derby Days, the starting time shall be 8:00 a.m.
(4) 
Not more than six trout may be killed daily. Trout in excess of this number may be caught, provided that such trout are immediately returned to the water unharmed, not withstanding on Derby Day when there shall be no limit as to how many are caught and killed.
(5) 
No person shall take or catch fish or attempt to take or catch fish by use of a long bow and arrow.
Nothing contained herein shall be construed to prohibit the use and enjoyment of the hereinabove-described grounds by persons of the age of 14 years or older for lawful purposes other than for the taking and catching of fish or attempting to take and catch fish.

Any person violating any part of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be liable to the penalty provided by Chapter 1, Article III.
