A. 
This article shall be known and may be cited as the "Tobacco-Free Parks and Playgrounds Ordinance."
B. 
These rules and regulations are created to cover the use, operation and conduct of the public parks and playgrounds of the Township of Haverford and include all parks and playgrounds owned, used or leased by the Township of Haverford, as well as those jointly used by the Township of Haverford and others.
C. 
"Township parks and playgrounds" refers to all parks and playgrounds owned, used or leased by the Township of Haverford, as well as those jointly used by the Township of Haverford and others.
D. 
"Smoking" means the burning of, inhaling from, exhaling the smoke from, or the possession of a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe or any other matter or substance which contains tobacco or any other matter that can be smoked, or the inhaling or exhaling of smoke or vapor from an electronic smoking device.
A. 
All areas of Township parks and playgrounds where children are or may be present are designated tobacco-free, and the use or smoking of any tobacco product in any form is prohibited.
B. 
Signs shall be posted delineating the tobacco-free areas.
Any person violating any provision of this article shall, upon summary conviction before any Magisterial District Justice, pay a fine not exceeding $100. Each and every day in which any person shall be in violation of this article shall constitute a separate offense.
