Smoking of tobacco or any similar substance shall hereafter be prohibited in the main meeting room, the auxiliary meeting room and the executive conference room of the Municipal Building of the Township of West Deptford.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalties provided for in § 1-15 of Chapter 1, General Provisions, of this Code.

SMOKE/SMOKING
The burning of, inhaling from, exhaling the smoke from, or possession of a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe or other matter or substance which contains tobacco or any other matter that can be smoked, or the inhaling or exhaling of smoke or vapor from an electronic smoking device.
Smoking shall not be permitted within 25 feet of the ingress or egress of any township-owned or leased building.
Signs shall be placed at the ingress/egress of each township-owned or leased building indicating that smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of said ingress/egress. Signs shall contain letters and/or an international symbol, which contrast in color with the sign, indicating smoking is prohibited. The sign shall also indicate that violators are subject to a fine.
Any person found to be in violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to the following penalties:
A. 
A fine of not less than $50 but not exceeding $100 for the first violation;
B. 
A fine of not less than $100 but not exceeding $200 for the second violation;
C. 
A fine of not less than $200, but not exceeding $500 for the third and any subsequent violation.
This chapter shall be enforced by the Chief of Police and/or his/her designees and the Township Health Officer and/or his/her designees.
