Responsibility for enforcement of the plumbing subcode shall
be the exclusive province of the Plumbing Subcode Official.
Responsibility for enforcement of specific provisions of the
electrical subcode shall be delineated as follows:
A.
Plan review functions of Article 300-21, Chapter 5 and Article 760 shall be enforced jointly by the Electrical Subcode Official and the Fire Protection Subcode Official.
B.
Construction inspection functions of Article 300-21, Chapter 5 and Article 760 shall be enforced exclusively by the Electrical Subcode Official.
C.
In the event of conflicting or inconsistent interpretations or application
of this subcode between the two officials, the Construction Official
shall rule as to which interpretation or application shall be final.
D.
All remaining chapters and Articles of the electrical subcode shall
be enforced exclusively by the Electrical Subcode Official.
The Fire Prevention Code, 1976 Edition, shall be enforced by
the Chief of the fire company having territorial jurisdiction over
the property which is the subject of enforcement. Responsibility for
enforcement of specific provisions of the building subcode shall be
delineated as follows, pursuant to Article 17, Section B, of the regulations
as promulgated by the Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of
Community Affairs.
A.
Plan review functions of Sections 301.0, 401.0 through 412.0, 414.0
through 422.0, 424.0, 425.0, 429.0 through 432.0, 519.0 and 520.0;
Article 6; Section 875.0; Articles 9, 10, 11 and 12; Sections 1318.0
and 1320.0 shall be enforced jointly by the Building Subcode Official
and Fire Protection Subcode Official.
B.
Plan review functions of Sections 413.0, 423.0 and 426.0 through
428.0 shall be enforced exclusively by the Building Subcode Official.
C.
Construction inspection functions of Sections 410.0, 420.0, 406.0
through 423.0, 425.0 through 432.0, 519.0 and 520.0; Article 6; Section
876.0; and Articles 9 and 10 shall be enforced exclusively by the
Building Subcode Official.
D.
Construction inspection functions of Articles 11 and 12 and Sections
1318.0 and 1320.0 shall be enforced exclusively by the Building Subcode
Official.
E.
In the event of conflicting or inconsistent interpretations or application
of this subcode between the two officials, the Construction Official
shall rule as to which interpretation or application shall be followed.
F.
All remaining Articles and sections of the building subcode shall
be enforced exclusively by the Building Subcode Official.
