There is hereby adopted by the City of Weatherford the Basic Mechanical
Code, 1987, as published by the Building Official and Code Administrators
International (BOCA).
2.
The BOCA Mechanical Code shall govern the installation, maintenance
and repair of all heating and air conditioning apparatus in this city.

The Building Official shall be responsible for the enforcement and
administration of this code.

Journeyman License. All persons desiring a journeyman license shall
meet all the requirements set forth by the state and the city.

All persons, firms, partnerships or corporations locally or
nonlocal hereafter engaged in the business of installing or repair
of heating and air conditioning and refrigeration equipment within
the corporate city limits of Weatherford shall obtain a permit when
required from the Inspection Department provided the person is licensed
by the State of Oklahoma and registered by the City of Weatherford.
The city registration shall be for one year or part thereof expiring
on 30 June each year. Registration fees shall be established by the
City Commission.

No mechanical work shall be performed in the city limits of Weatherford
unless a permit for such work shall have been issued by the Building
Official.
2.
Application for said permit shall be to the Building Official on
blanks provided for that purpose, indicating such facts as the nature
of the mechanical work as may be required by the inspector.
3.
Where the Building Official shall require, plans shall be retained
in the office of the Building Official.
4.
If the mechanical work specified does not violate any provisions
of this article or of any other ordinance of the City of Weatherford,
the Building Official shall write the word "approval" on the face
of the original application together with his signature; provided
that before any permit approved by the Building Official be valid
the required fees shall be paid.
