City of Weatherford, OK Article 7 Wholesale Peddling

§ 5-73 LICENSE REQUIRED FOR PEDDLING AT WHOLESALE.

That it shall be unlawful and an offense for any person, firm, or corporation to engage in the business or occupation of peddling garden truck fruits, vegetables, farm products or other food stuffs of any kind, intended for human consumption not locally grown without first having obtained a license to do so, except reputable wholesale distributors.

§ 5-74 DEFINITION.

PEDDLING AT WHOLESALE

Is defined to be the selling or offering for sale of any of the products set out in § 5-73 to any firm or corporation engaged in the business of reselling said products. This shall not include the offering for sale of said products to persons employed in said stores where the products are carried from place to place or store to store or offered for sale upon the streets, alleys, sidewalks or other public property of the City.

§ 5-75 LICENSE TAX LEVIED.

There is hereby levied upon all such peddlers as defined in §§ 5-73, 5-74 whether said peddlers shall sell from wagons, carts, automobiles, trucks, or other vehicles, a license tax as set forth in § 5-71, except reputable wholesale distributors.

§ 5-76 TAG OR CARD TO BE POSTED; LICENSE UPON PERSON.

At all times there shall be posted in a conspicuous place upon each vehicle used by licensees hereunder, a tag or card; and each licensee hereunder shall at all times while engaged in peddling at wholesale have upon his person the original license issued by the City of Weatherford.
