The maximum fine assessed on each offense may not exceed $500 plus costs; provided, furthermore, that the fine may not exceed the maximum as specified for the specific offense, as set forth in this Code of Ordinances or other ordinances now or in the future in effect. See also Chapter 9, Section 9-31 of this Code.
