force or violence to do a corporal hurt to another.

A BATTERY – Is any willful and unlawful use of force or violence
upon the person of another.

It is unlawful to commit an assault or an assault and battery within
the city, and any person committing an assault or an assault and battery
within the city is guilty of an offense.
