[HISTORY: Adopted by Mayor and Council of Borough of Wenonah 3-10-1960. Amendments noted where applicable.]
It shall be unlawful for any person to use, fire or discharge any gun, rifle, pistol or other firearm or any pump gun or air rifle at any time within the limits of the Borough of Wenonah without having first obtained a permit from the Chief of Police so to do.
It shall be unlawful for any person to hunt down or kill any wildlife within the borough limits by the use of firearms, and any person who is found hunting within the borough with firearms in his possession shall be guilty of a violation of this ordinance; provided, however, that nothing herein contained shall be construed to prevent the use of firearms in emergencies in the proper defense of one's home and property, either against unlawful intrusion or destruction or invasion by destructive animal life.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $500 and/or a jail term of up to 90 days.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and publication as required by law.
