There is hereby established in and for the Borough of Wenonah
the Wenonah Fire Department, which Department shall consist of the
Wenonah Fire Company No. 1 of Wenonah, New Jersey, referred to in
the following as the "Fire Company." No other fire-fighting organization
is to be formed within the borough without the consent of the Borough
Council.
The line officers of the Fire Company shall be a Chief, an Assistant
Chief, a Captain and one or more Lieutenants.
The line officers shall be elected by the Fire Company for a
term of not less than one year and not more than three years. All
vacancies that may occur shall be filled by election within 30 days
after the occurrence, except in case of sickness or inability, when
appointments pro tempore shall be made by the Chief.
All line officers so elected are subject to the confirmation
of the Borough Council.
