A.
Every person seeking to join the Fire Company shall be a resident
of the borough, except that upon recommendation of the Fire Company
and approval of Borough Council, nonresidents may be elected to membership
of the Fire Company. He shall make application to the company, and
upon his election to membership he shall become a member in good standing
of the Fire Company subject to confirmation by the Borough Council.
He must be at least 18 years of age and must pass a physical examination.
He shall be provided with proper protective clothing at the direction
of the Chief, which shall remain the property of the borough and which
shall be delivered up to the Chief at any time upon demand or whenever
said person shall be under charges involving moral turpitude or neglect
of duty or for any cause shall cease to be a fireman.

B.
A junior member program may be established by the line officers of
the Fire Company, consisting of residents of the borough who have
attained at least 16 years of age. All rules and regulations governing
eligibility, training and participation in Fire Company activities
shall be subject to the approval of the appropriate committee of the
Borough Council in charge of and responsible for all matters pertaining
to the Fire Company.

It shall be the duty of the active members to participate in the drills and instruction prescribed in Article II, § 22-7, and to aid the Chief and the other line officers to the best of their ability in the prevention and control of fire and the protection of life and property within the Borough of Wenonah and wherever else the Fire Company may have cause to conduct operations.
The active membership of the Fire Company shall not exceed 30.
All members of the Fire Company shall serve without compensation.
