[HISTORY: Adopted by Mayor and Council of Borough of Wenonah 3-2-2011.]
No person or persons shall set up, keep or maintain or permit to be set, kept or maintained in any home on premises occupied by him within the limits of said borough, except in private houses, any ball or bowling alley, billiard table, pool table, shuffleboard or bagatelle table, without having obtained a license for that purpose as hereinafter mentioned.
Said Council may grant on application signed by 12 reputable citizens of the Borough of Wenonah wherein shall be located such place or places licensed, said citizens are to be of at least one year's residence in said borough and who not within a year signed any other similar application; furthermore, said Council shall not consider a second application from the same person or from the same premises in the same year; said Council shall give license in writing to set up, keep or maintain within said borough ball or bowling alley, billiard table, pool table, shuffleboard or bagatelle table, and shall in no case grant said license for a longer time than one year, and such license fee shall be paid to the Clerks of said borough, with the additional fee of $2, of which $1.50 shall be for the use of the said Borough Clerk and $0.50 for the use of the Mayor; the said Borough Clerk is hereby authorized to collect and receive the said license fee hereinafter mentioned and pay same to the Treasurer of said borough for the use of said borough.
It shall be charged to each person licensed as aforesaid and paid to said Clerk for the use of said borough on issuing above mentioned, the following sum, to wit: for a license to keep or maintain a ball or bowling alley, billiard table, pool table, shuffleboard or bagatelle table, $5 a year for each alley, board or table.
If any person or persons shall set up, keep or maintain in said borough any ball alley, billiard table, pool table, shuffle-board or bagatelle table without a license for that purpose first had and obtained in the manner prescribed in this ordinance, he, she or they shall, upon conviction thereof, pay a fine of $10 or be imprisoned in the county jail for the term of five days.
The license above mentioned shall be in the words or to the effect following:
Borough Clerk's office of the Borough of Wenonah _____ day of _____ A.D._____, having this day made a correct application for a license to keep or maintain ball or bowling alley_____, billiard table_____, pool table _____, and having paid the lawful sum of _____ for such license, the same is hereby granted from this date_____ _____ day of _____ A.D. _____ to the _____ _____ day of _____ A.D. _____, unless otherwise revoked and no longer: and the said _____ shall use and exercise this license during said term with the following restrictions, to wit: the person or persons herein named shall at all times keep an orderly place and shall not permit any card playing or dice throwing, reveling or rollicking in or about the premises herein licensed: and shall not permit any persons under 16 years of age to frequent the premises herein mentioned, or permit them to play upon any alley, board or table herein licensed and shall not permit any games played for drinks, cigars, oysters or any article of merchandise or any amount of money, and shall close the premises not than 12:00 midnight and not to open before 6:00 a.m., and shall be obedient to the tenor and true meaning of the ordinance making and providing for this license, given under my hand and the seal of the Borough of Wenonah the day and the year above written.

Any person or persons receiving the above-mentioned license shall receive the same subject to all the restrictions mentioned therein, and in the event of the breach of any of the restrictions named therein it shall be lawful for said Borough Council to take away and deprive said person or persons of said license or the benefit thereof.
POOL AND BILLIARD LICENSE
Borough Clerk's Office _____, having made a correct and proper application for a license to keep pool, billiard or bagatelle table at _____, Wenonah, New Jersey, and having paid the lawful sum of _____ dollars for such license, the same is granted from _____ day of _____ A.D. to the _____ day of _____ A.D., unless otherwise revoked, and no longer, and the said _____ _____ shall use and exercise this license during the said term with the following restrictions, to wit: the person or persons herein named shall at all times keep an orderly place and shall not permit any card playing or dice throwing or reveling or rollicking in or about the premises herein licensed, and shall not permit any person under 16 years of age to frequent the premises herein mentioned or permit them to play upon any alley, board or table herein licensed, and shall not permit any games played for drinks, cigars, oysters or any article of merchandise or any amount of money, and shall close the premises not later than 12:00 midnight; and shall be obedient to the tenor and true meaning of the ordinances and parts of ordinances making and providing for this license.

APPLICATION FOR POOL AND BILLIARD LICENSES
To the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Wenonah, State of New Jersey.
Gentlemen:
I hereby make application for a license to maintain _____ pool or billiard tables at _____ in the Borough of Wenonah, in the County of Gloucester and the State of New Jersey, and guarantee that good order will be maintained in and about the room and premises occupied by me for that purpose. I further promise and declare that I will not permit any card playing or dice throwing nor will I allow any game to be played for money, drinks, cigars or any other article of merchandise, nor will I allow any person under the age of 16 years to play on said tables nor loiter in or about said rooms or premises: and, I further guarantee that if said license is granted, I will maintain these pool or billiard tables and the rooms occupied by me for that purpose in strict accordance with the tenor and effect of the ordinance of the Borough of Wenonah providing and governing the same.
