A.Â
Aldermen, the Mayor, officers and employees of the City are expressly
prohibited from accepting, directly or indirectly, from any person,
company, firm, or corporation to which any purchase order or contract
is or might be awarded, any rebate, gift, money or anything of value
whatsoever. This prohibition shall not apply to gifts of nominal value
(less than $25), food to be consumed by employees on City premises
while working, gifts that benefit all City employees equally, or gifts
that benefit the City as a whole.

In the event a gift is received and is incapable of being rejected
or returned, it shall be turned over to the City Clerk and the City
Clerk shall donate same to the Lincoln County Robertson Center or
a similar non-profit organization.
