Pursuant to Chapter 89 of the Missouri Revised Statutes, there is hereby established a Planning Commission which shall also function as the Zoning Commission and shall be known as "The Planning and Zoning Commission".
The Board of Planning and Zoning shall consist of seven resident
citizens appointed by the Mayor and approved the by Board of Aldermen.
All citizen members of the Commission shall serve without compensation.
The Mayor and one member of the Board of Aldermen may serve as two
of the seven resident citizens. The terms of the Mayor and the Board
of Alderman members shall coincide with their elected terms. The terms
of other citizen members shall be four years, with staggered terms
so that two members expire in even numbered years and one member expires
in odd numbered years. A yearly term shall begin on January 1 and
end on December 31.
The Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Moscow Mills shall function according to Chapter 89 of the Missouri Revised statutes and is established hereby under Chapter 89, Section 310, of the Missouri Revised Statutes. The Planning and Zoning Commission may establish rules and procedures concerning the conduct of its meetings as long as such are not in conflict with Chapter 89.
This ordinance shall become in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
